Welcome to the Office of Economic Analysis
The Office of Economic Analysis (OEA) provides objective forecasts of the state's economy, revenue, population, corrections population, and Youth Authority population. These forecasts are used by the Governor, the Legislature, state agencies, and the public to achieve their goals.

In addition to these four forecasts, OEA also manages the Oregon Highway Cost Allocation Study and produces the Oregon Population Survey.

Highway Cost Allocation Study
Every two years, the state of Oregon completes the Highway Cost Allocation Study. This study is the main instrument used during legislative sessions to determine changes in weight-mile and fuel taxes and vehicle registration fees. The Office of Economic Analysis manages this study.
Oregon Population Survey
The Oregon Population Survey is a telephone survey of nearly 4,400 Oregon households conducted by the State of Oregon every two years. The survey is jointly managed by the Oregon Progress Board and the Office of Economic Analysis. This survey collects current, reliable, and representative data from Oregon residents on a variety of demographic, socioeconomic, and community-based satisfaction topics.
2010 Census: BE COUNTED
2010 Census: BE COUNTED
The U.S. Bureau of the Census counts everyone living in the United States every 10 years. The next census is in 2010. The Census Bureau needs help from all State and local communities to make it a success. It is in our interest to make sure that the 2010 Census is complete and accurate. Census data are used to allocate Congressional seats to the states, to make decisions about what community services to provide, and to distribute more than $400 billion each year in federal funds to local, state, and tribal governments.
