Training
Mission, Goals and Values
Our mission is to support DAS divisions and employees in achieving their goals by providing timely, relevant, and effective training programs and services. The programs and services will meet identified needs and will be provided within available resources.

Our ongoing goals are to:

  • Support employees in achiefing continuous professional growth.
  • Support divisions in achieving their missions.
  • Support divisions in having updated employee development plans for 100 percent of their regular employees each year.
  • Support divisions in providing at least 20 hours of job related education and training for 100 percent of their regular employees each year.
Values

Service: Our emphasis is on providing user-friendly, value-added services that meet the needs of our customers.  Policy and procedures will support service.

Flexibility: We provide coordinated department wide programs and services when appropriate. We invite divisions and employees to use them to meet their needs. We also provide training services for divisions and other work units to meet their requests and needs.

Training Services
Consulting Services: Employee Services will provide various services to include: meeting facilitation, team building sessions, and planning sessions. We can assist employees in finding  other training resources that will help them to meet their professional goals. 

Training Records: DAS employees may contact us for a copy of their In-Service "Training Transcript." Likewise, any supervisor may contact us for a copy of the training transcripts of their direct reports.
